| Exactly two hundred years after the birth of the great scientist and 150 years since
the publication of The Origin of the Species, the exhibition Darwin 1809-2009 will be inaugurated in Rome in the
newly restored Palazzo delle Esposizioni (February - May, 2009) and will then move on to Milan (June 4th - October
25th, 2009) and Bari (November 2009 - March 2010). Darwin, the spectacular international exhibition about the father
of the theory of evolution, is based on an exhibition organized by the American Museum of Natural History, New
York, in collaboration with Museum of Science, Boston, The Field Museum, Chicago, Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto,
Natural History Museum, London. |

| This new exhibition space in Turin has been dedicated to Oriental art. It is held
in Palazzo Mazzonis in the heart of the "Roman city" that has been made available by the city council.
The MAO will contain a collection of 1500 works and will be a part of the Fondazione Torino Musei together with
the Galleria d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, the Museo d'Arte Antica and the Borgo Medievale. The new museum, which
cost over 13 million Euros to build, features reliefs from India; Khmer sculptures; Burmese and Thai works; items
from China's Han and Tang eras, with over 200 funerary objects, statuettes and Tibetan Buddhist pieces. |

| The Palio of Ferrara is the most ancient one in the world and in addition to this
is peculiar for its kind of ride that is joyful and so different from other warlike palii where there are always
enemy that you have to fight with the lance. This is a very important moment for the city: all the "Contrade"
participate wearing dress of different colors to gain the “palio”, but also and over all, to make party and to
remember the Renaissance, a period in which Ferrara was really a capital. |

| Around 10th October, the Maestro’s birthday, when the city and its surroundings steeped
in the autumnal colors and scents of the Verdi homeland deeply touch our collective imagination, this is the moment
when the Festival comes to life: the days vibrate with music, opera and listening guides comparing singers from
the present and the glorious past, conferences, readings from the masterpieces of literature which inspired the
opera libretti, exhibitions, shows, a range of productions for every level of musical expertise, theatre, dance
and avant-garde visual arts. The Festival is set in theatres, opera-houses and the most picturesque locations in
Parma and the land of Verdi. |

| The exhibit, that will be taking place the 4th of April to the 12th of July in the
Trono room and in the the apartment of the Dutchess of the Ducale Palace, office of the National Gallery of the
Marche, has the aim to bring to light the formation of Raffaello in the great expressive culture found in the Urbinese
court and above all the influence of his father in his education. There will be some of Raffaello’s greatest works
on display, 20 paintings and 19 original drawings. |

| Torre del Lago, home of the Puccini Festival, lies between the Lake of Massaciuccoli
and the Tyrrhenian Sea, 11 miles from Lucca and Pisa. The Festival welcomes thousands spectators every year to
its open-air theatre, near the Villa Mausoleum where Giacomo Puccini lived and worked. Torre del Lago is a favourite
destination of opera lovers and tourists who wish to visit the places where the most beloved composer of the 20th
century lived. The Puccini Festival was born in 1930 following Puccini’s wishes. The author of La Bohème
and Madama Butterfly, expressed his wish to see his creatures come to life in the extraordinary natural stage offered
by the Massaciuccoli Lake. |

| The exhibition project organized by the City Art Museum of Ravenna is intended to
recall the artistic journeys of some of the most important painters that travelled and lived outside Europe, but
like other continents also (Asia, Africa, America and Oceania) they were experienced and represented by western
artists, from the orientalism of the eighteen hundreds of Alberto Pasini, to the avant-garde who reworked in new
stylistic terms these exotic ideas. |

I Della Robbia, with its glass coated terracotta, left its traces of its beauty in churches, in palaces and in

| One of the most important festivals in the world that is dedicated to the piano, takes
place at the Teatro Grande in Brescia and the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo. Every year is met with a theme around
which the concerts rotate, thus making up a path which from time to time focuses on one author, one historical
period, or one cultural environment. The 46th Edition will investigate the musical areas suggested by the title

From February 1st it will be much easier to book a holiday in Venice thanks to “Venice
Connected”, the new on-line reservation system set up by the City of Venice. Simply by going to www.veniceconnected.it
it will be possible to book and buy on-line all public tourist services in town and save money at the same time.
In order to buy reduced tickets, on-line bookings will be have to be made 15 days in advance. This means that from
February 16th the new “Venice Connected” pricing system will be in use. Prices will vary according to low, middle
and high season, which will be marked respectively in green, blue and red days on the “Venice Connected” on-line
calendar. |

and comprehensive exhibition of the artist’s work after the one held in Venice in 1992, aims at tracing the career

| The Egypt. Sunken treasures exhibition will open in Juvarra’s Scuderie at Venaria
Reale from February 7 to May 31, 2009: it is the only Italian appointment for the international exhibition of over
500 archaeological artifacts from Alexandria, Heracleion and Canopus, ancient towns in the Nile Delta which sank
six meters under the level of the Mediterranean in the first centuries of the Christian era. |

| In 1958 the Italian-born American composer and librettist Giancarlo Menotti, twice
winner of the Pulitzer award, realized the dream of his life: the festival of the two worlds. The name came from
the creator’s intention to gather the European and American scenes. The city chosen to host the event was Spoleto,
located in the region of Umbria, for its beauty, its richness of suggestive theatrical venues and its closeness

| The Collodi Park is entirely dedicated to the little wooden puppet who so wished to
be a little boy and all the wonderful characters of Collodi s classic fairy tale. The town of Collodi in Tuscany
is the birthplace of Carlo Collodi, the literary creator of the world s favorite wooden puppet. Born Lorenzetti,
the writer paid tribute to its hometown by adopting Collodi as his last name. The park includes a workshop where
one can follow the creation of a puppet from beginning to end, as well as shows, exhibits and entertainment. Picnic
areas are available throughout the park as well as the Osteria al Gambero Rosso. The park which centers around
the Italian Pinocchio imagery and not the Disneyesque version of the character is a fun activity for fans of the
puppet, big and small alike and a pleasant way to spend a few hours wondering in the peaceful Tuscan countryside. |

| Arte Sella is an international biennial exhibition of contemporary art which began
life in 1986. It takes places in the open, in the fields and woods of the Val di Sella valley (near Borgo Valsugana
in the Province of Trento). Since 1996 the Arte Sella project has been laid out along a path in the woods on the
southern slope of the Armentera mountain. The route, named ARTENATURA ( Art in Nature ) is designed to enable visitors
to view the artworks and at the same time enjoy the natural site itself (with its different types of woods, rocks
and trees &) In the last few years Arte Sella has expanded to include the nearby rustic Malga Costa. This unusual
but attractive building has served as the backdrop for various exhibitions and events which have attracted considerable
interest. In 2001 near the Malga Costa the artist Giuliano Mauri built the massive Tree Cathedral artwork for Arte
Sella. |
