Manet. Return to Venezia is the name of the exhibition the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia will host from 24th April to 18th August 2013 in the monumental rooms of the Doge’s Palace, planned with the special collaboration of the Musée D’Orsay in Paris and co-produced with 24Ore Cultura Gruppo 24 Ore – under the patronage of the Regione del Veneto and Soprintendenza ai Beni Architettonici e Paesaggistici di Venezia e Laguna. It will explore these ties and this passion through an extraordinary nucleus of the artist’s works, enabling a series of direct comparisons never before possible, and finally shedding some light on the close tie Manet had with Italy and Venezia.

Music, drama, emotions: under the stars, the Sferisterio of Macerata, in the heart of the Marche region, offers every summer unforgettable evening events dedicated to Opera. Designed in 1823 by the Architect Ireneo Aleandri and built just outside the door of the Market, along the city walls, it is considered the theatre with the best acoustics in Italy. Its semicircular structure, built entirely in bricks and formerly used for sporting activities, hosts thousands of visitors from around the world during the Opera Festival Sferisterio in June, July and August each year.

"The 2013 Stresa Festival" is back this year with a program of exceptional concerts in unique sites around Lake Maggiore. The 52nd Stresa Festival will open with the second edition of the Midsummer Jazz Concerts, a jazz festival in miniature on the banks of the lake. This year’s program is double last year’s. Over the weekend from 19 to 21 July, against the breathtaking backdrop of the flowery paths along the Lungolago La Palazzola, and the Borromeo Islands, five open-air concerts will delight all those who enjoy improvisation in jazz.

Lecce Province (Different Locations) - August 6th - August 24th, 2013

 

La notte della Taranta Festival is the most popular summer folkloristic event in Italy. It is dedicated to the Pizzica, a popular Italian folk dance and music that originated in Salento, the southern part of the Puglia Region that has the beautiful art city of Lecce as a capital. The traditions of this dance are centuries old, but the festival which this year takes place from the 6th to 24th of August only started in the late ‘90s. For the final concert  over a 100000 people meet in Melpignano and for the entire night many famous musicians alternate their performances with orchestras while people dance to this incredible mix of Mediterranean sounds.
