This exhibition dedicated to Leonardo aims to offer the visitor an original point of view of the work of the man known as the “Universal Genius”. Through videos, interactive digital stations, working models built with the utmost attention to technical details and historically appropriate materials, the exhibition underlines the processes of a mind intent on the observation and interpretation of the natural phenomena and their laws, and in deciphering the rational processes that govern the phenomena of the physical world and thought processes.

 

 

 

 

Puglia Castles

Fourth edition of Intramoenia/Extra Art-Castelli di Puglia with a festival of contemporary art in the Svevo Aragonese Castle in Barletta. The exhibition curated by Achille Bonito Oliva includes open-air workshops and a large number of site-specific works showcased in the huge undergrounds vaults of the fortress. The event aims to attract a public that is open to the appreciation of the past as well as to the discovery of contemporary art.

Niccolo' dell'Abate

On display a mural attributed to Nicolo’ dell’Abate discovered during the restoration of the Rocca del Boiardo. This exceptional finding depicts a warrior with helmet and shield. The image of the warrior is documented by Giambattista Venturi in his 1822 work “Storia di Scandiano” (History of Scandiano). At that time, the Rocca, although in ruins, still preserved parts of the artist’s decorations. The artworks in the Rocca will be showcased in the noble halls of the building.
