“Angels & Demons” in the eternal city of Rome

The movie based on Dan Brown’s novel is an excellent way to explore the beautiful Rome historical paths

“Angels & Demons” was filmed in the eternal City of Rome and is definitely sparking a lot of interest and controversy. ”Angels & Demons" is the second feature length movie shot by the critically acclaimed movie director Ron Howard based on the Dan Brown’s novels which follows Robert Langdon the protagonist throughout a series of breathtaking plot twist in search of the truth. The movie is Dan Brown’s prequel to the Da Vinci Code and rolls around the conflict between science and religion, particularly between the secret society of the Illuminati and the Roman Catholic Church. There is no doubt that following the May 2009 release of this new Tom Hank’s blockbuster flick, hordes of enthusiastic Dan Brown’s fans will flood the streets of Rome in search of the places where the movie has been shot. The movie definitely offers great scenes of Rome and the story takes place in some of the most magnificent spots of the city, including the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Piazza del Popolo. For example Piazza del Popolo, one of the most scenic squares in Rome, is a perfect spot to read up on the clues and symbols that point to the killer's path. So, whether you rave about Dan Brown’s literary brilliance, or enthralled by religious mystery or simply want to see one of the world’s most stunning city, follow in the footsteps of this film and visit some of Rome’s most magnificent sights. The movie isn’t due out until the middle of May, but that hasn’t stopped Roman tour operators from getting an early start.
