Florence their favorite city,
overall, for the third consecutive year!
Rome was not far behind in the fourth
spot in the list of top 10 cities in the world, which proves just
how loved Italy is not only by T+L readers, but travelers all over
the world. The cities of Florence and Rome were also awarded
the top two spots of reader's favorites destinations in Europe, with
Venice and
Siena not too far behind as readers' sixth and seventh
choices. Italy's magnificent islands were not overlooked
either - the Aeolian Islands and
Sicily were awarded the 4th and
5th spot of the top islands in Europe.

The Tuscan Sun Festival in Cortona has
been named one of the "Ten Best
Summer Arts Festivals in Europe"! It is truly no wonder being
it is one of Europe's
most prestigious and all around culturally rich
events. The festival is
filled with all types of entertainment for every type of visitor,
such as: classical music, art exhibitions, lectures, poetry
readings, food and wine tastings, and much more. All of the
activities will be taking place at various venues throughout
Cortona. The 2007 edition will begin with an open-air symphony
concert that will be presented by the world renown Sophia Loren.
Countless other performance and exhibitions will follow as well,
kicking off what it sure to be a successful and exciting year for
