Giacometti, Soul of the Twentieth Century

Gallarate (Mi) - March 5th - May 29th, 2011

www.museomaga.it

There are works that an artist is unable to part with, intimate works, that are deeply linked to his personal live, dear works that become irreplaceable. These works are usually those that the artist keeps for himself, those that he preserves in his studio beside the tools of his trade, his studies, his papers. From an artist’s entire production, maybe this private collection is his most intimate and personal, and it helps him most understand his deepest poetry. This is why the exhibition “Giacometti. Soul of the Twentieth Century” at the Maga Museum, in Gallarate, from 6 March to 5 June 2011, is unique and exceptional.
